More Than a Judge. This Is His Why.

For decades, Danny sat with people at some of the hardest moments of their lives: families breaking apart, young people losing their direction, victims seeking justice, and neighbors struggling to rebuild. Those experiences shaped him.

They taught him that every person has a story, and every decision has a real human impact. They also strengthened his belief that public service means listening first, acting with compassion, and fighting for fairness; not politics.

That’s why he’s running for North Carolina House 118.

A Life Rooted in This Community

Danny was raised here, in Western North Carolina, by a family of working people and learned the value of hard work early; stocking warehouses, cleaning buildings, and working trade jobs before becoming an attorney. He understands the challenges facing working families because he’s lived them.

He chose to raise his own family here, serve here, and dedicate his career to helping the people of this district find fairness, stability, and strength in difficult times. That deep connection to his community guides everything he does.

33 Years on the Bench

Danny handled thousands of cases with fairness and consistency, always respecting the people whose lives were impacted.

Guided by Faith and Service

Danny’s life is shaped by faith, family, and a commitment to lifting others up through steady leadership.

Problem Solver in Crisis

He guided families through addiction, mental health struggles, conflict, and crisis, offering steady leadership when it mattered most.

Trusted Community Leader

Lifelong resident with decades of involvement in local schools, youth programs, and sports; including serving as a soccer and basketball coach.

Blue-Collar Roots

Worked warehouse jobs, custodial shifts, and trades positions. Danny never forgot where he came from or the people he serves.

Election Integrity Advocate

As Chairman of the Board of Elections, Danny protected transparency and public trust in our voting process.

What Drives Him Forward

Danny believes leadership is about responsibility. To listen, to understand, and to do what is right even when it’s difficult. After a lifetime of working with families, children, and neighbors in crisis, he’s running for the NC House with one goal: to deliver real, practical solutions that strengthen the future of Western North Carolina.
